Jan 24, 2013 · LACP support came with XenServer 6.1 and hostfix 9 had some changes in the for PVS support but I think PVS need a hotfix to run perfectly on top of 6.1 but it is supported.

Note: XenServer gets the LACP setup based on a negotiation with the switch where priority values are passed to XenServer, which is why this might not work when being dynamically configured on the switch side. Using VLT on the switch side is not supported for XenServer LACP bonds for this reason.

This VLAN 10 network can be added to a VIF (virtual interface) on a guest to allow guest traffic to be tagged by the virtual switch and sent across the trunk setup between the switch and the XenServer.

Aug 05, 2017 · With the above config, I have no network and had to disable LACP to get network back up. My logic tells me that I need to change the bonded port types from active>active to LACP in xenserver but not sure if such a setting would cause the bonded ports / LACP to not even have network connectivity at all? Would really appreciate some feedback on this!
