Jul 23, 2017 · When I use XFCE4, the games run on the right monitor. Yup! That is the whole annoyance. Can anyone suggest a way to run the games on Steam to use the left monitor when using XFCE4? Seriously, this has got to be a configuration file within XFCE4, but hell if I know how/what to modify the config file. Thank you for you assistance in this matter.

Finally took the plunge and purchased a second monitor. Initial setup was a breeze with the panels and dock. One thing i was wondering is if it is possible to keep the secondary monitor static in that it is only 1 workspace that does not change when i switch workspaces.

Oct 11, 2012 · Hi all, I've just started using arandr and it works very well (I'm using LMDE xfce - it's in the standard repositories). You can save monitor setups (e.g., one for the office where my second screen is above, one for school where it's on the right side, one for when I don't have a second monitor) and just choose whichever you wish, as needed.
