Does anyone know this, I have looked on a few articles and it starts talking about Vector saving versus Bitmap saving, and well that is just a bit deep for a Tuesday Afternoon. If you search for a transparent method in the picturebox clas, you will see that the method do not exist. So there must be another way to make the background of a bitmap transparent. Have a look in the bitmap class and you will find a transparent method "MakeTransparent".

I came up with some changes to the Bmp decoder to properly process a Bmp image extracted from an .ico file that has transparency. You can drag the Transparency tool across the object without selecting anything in the drop-down box on the Property Bar and it will default to Linear transparency (opaque at one end, transparent at the other. It sounds like you really need to read the manual and/or the help files though.
