Jan 10, 2005 · 1) Can't run the latest nVidia drivers (or anything but the stock "nv" driver) because they use a kernel call that the FC3 team removed. If this is true, it means no OpenGL, and limited games support. My kids will be crushed - no TuxRacer! 2) Can't play mp3 files. Missing some legal license or some such mumbo jumbo.

Anyway - the short of it, mp3 works very well in FC3 with just a little bit of work (adding some repos and installing packages) For the best user experience, xmms is still king. For a neat visualizers with xmms - try the xmms-libvisual plugin (available in my yum repo) - some really nice effects.
