The reason AMD would drop support for XP is not because it is hard for the user to install, but because they changed the driver model with Vista. If they don't need to support two driver models then it would greatly simplify the development process.5/5(251)

But if you can imagine running Windows 98 games on XP I'm sure there is a huge list that won't work properly as a comparison. But namely legacy games will not 100% work on Windows 7.
