If the ASA EtherChannel is connected cross stack, and if the Master switch is powered down, then the EtherChannel connected to the remaining switch will not come up. All ASA configuration refers to the logical EtherChannel interface instead of the member physical interfaces.

Dec 04, 2016 · If the ASA is on the edge or directly behind the edge router the only traffic going there should be traffic that is going off-net. The amount of traffic going to the internet must be HUGE if it is determined that etherchannel is required. Likewise the link to the internet must be large if the etherchannel traffic is to make full use of it.
