Jan 15, 2008 · The reason why you get less income support, is because if you get income support you are automatically entitled to full housing and council tax benefit (you pay no rent or council tax) so in essence you need less to live on. Working tax credit doesnt entitle you to that so you still have all bills to pay so you get more.
