Dec 15, 2014 · I finally looked at /proc/filesystems on my new Nexus 7, and it claims to have support for cifs, nfs, and nfs4 available (out of the box, I didn't have to do anything or load a special kernel).

Aug 03, 2013 · It would be nice to be able to mount network filesystems on my new Nexus 7. Anyone know if the kernel has cifs or nfs support built in, or if the modules are available to add to the stock kernel? Or better yet, if there is a fuse implementation of cifs with android support?

Sep 11, 2012 · The Nexus 7 has no external storage medium like a microSD card. You can use an OTG (on the go) cable to get access to removable media, keyboards, mice, etc. But wouldn’t it be nice if you could just use your home network’s Windows shares, NAS or network drive as a big fat storage unit for your brand new Nexus 7?
