For those of you having errors, be sure that the XMLRPC plugin you are using are for the same PHP version on your machine as it is on XAMPP. In my own case, I have Apache configure on port 80 for my CentOS 5.3 and it run on PHP 5.2.14 and I had XAMPP configure on port 81 and it run on PHP 5.2.9.....5.2.9 and 5.2.14 are very close.
