When connected it shoes up fine as /dev/video0, however ffmpeg gives this error: ... The device does not support the streaming I/O method I thought I must be doing something wrong so I also tried the hd-pvr in windows 7 with vlc which also didn't work. Sep 24, 2019 · /dev/video0: Immediate exit requested The VLC reads nicely from and shows and audio was on hw 1.0 it displays fine were the cpu load is 60-70% but I dont care to show the data - I just whats to stream it out :) if I get it to work I will buy a cooling fan.

which in my case seems to be saying that my /dev/video0 device does not support the required operation: so in this case, 'cat' is trying to read 64k bytes from the device.
