Sep 18, 2014 · DIR-655 & Bridge Mode ... the AP functionality and a lot more (i.e. WDS) is hidden in the menu because it is a basic fuctionality of the Ubicom series. As D-Link doesn't want this feature, they made it ... I'm using one DIR series Router as AP and it works flawless without QoS.

Feb 07, 2014 · No one flashed DD-WRT on DIR-655 yet. I won't work for sure. In the mentioned thread users talk about DIR-655 and other router with Tomato fw. I guess the user replaced Tomato with DD-WRT on the other router. I do have one DIR-655 laying around. Its wifi card /Atheros/ works a way better with DD-WRT then broadcom one. But the DIR-655 board doesn't.

Mar 22, 2015 · Hate to break your hearts, but this guy is messing with y'all. Doing an NMAP scan on my DIR-655 yeilds the same result. The tool attempts to guess the operating system and firmware version of whatever "computer" it scans to help the user determine how secure they are. When you scan a 655, its best guess is the DD-WRT firmware (It's 94% sure lol).
