Mar 02, 2010 · First off, jumbo frames are ONLY applicable to gigabit wired connections. They are not used on 100mbit wired connections or any wireless connection. Obviously, in order for jumbo frames to be effective all the devices in the path must support them.

I loaded DD-WRT on the WNDR3700 only to find that it does not support jumbo frames. Read your post, installed a D-Link DGS-1005G GigE switch and had jumbo frames in 5 minutes. It increased my write speeds to the NAS by 30 MBps. Bottom line: If you want jumbo frames, bypass the LAN switch in the WNDR3700 and use an aftermarket switch.
