Jun 22, 2007 · Best Answer: No. All Pentium 4 Processors do not support, 64-bit operating systems. Intel's 64-bit processor is now known as Intel® 64 Architecture. It was earlier known as Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology, or Intel® EM64T. So, if the processor comes with an EM64T label, it would support a 64-bit operation.

The original Pentiums were 32 bit. Intel didn’t introduce a 64 bit chip until it’s EM64T in 2003 or 4. It was essentially a rip-off of the AMD Athalon 64, down to the same code errors in the chip as the original Athalon had. It was reserved for high-end workstations. Desktop processors up through the Pentium 4 were all 32 bits.
