In general, if the motherboard specs on the Gigabyte website don't explicitly say 'Supports ECC RDIMMs' then it won't, regardless of what the CPU might support.

Jul 22, 2014 · For ECC you will need to go AM3+ (unregistered) or G34 (registered) for ECC support. AM1 does as well. However it does sound like you have to double-check to make sure your motherboard of choice actually supports ECC as well (sounds like some boards may not support it, even if the CPU does).
