Sep 20, 2006 · I cant hear rear sound anywhere though I have configured 4 speakers every where. But only at dxdiag wizard when i am clicking at TestDirectSound then sound is coming at all rear and front speakers. And after that the msg below is appeared. "your sound card does not support hardware buffering. Sounds will only play back from software buffers."

Sep 29, 2007 · If yours supports hardware buffering, it should state Hardware buffer after a few tests of Software buffer. Unfortunately, after the software buffer tests, my Dxdiag simply shows that my sound card does not support hardware buffering and closes the test.

Why does OpenGL not support multiple index buffers for vertex attributes (yet)? To me it seems very useful, since you could reuse attributes and you would have a lot more control over the rendering of your geometry. Is there a reason why all attribute arrays have to take the same index or could this feature be available in the near future?
