Oct 17, 2018 · Premiere Pro 2019 also has Problems with ProRes 4444 files containing an alpha channel. It reads every alpha as completely solid. A project I started in CC 2018 worked fine - all alpha channels worked the way they should - now in Premiere Pro 2019 all Alpha Channels in ProRes4444 don't work anymore.

Dec 10, 2009 · Pro res 422 doesn't support an alpha channel. You need to export the video using the Animation+million codec. FCP 7 Pro res 4444 codec supports an Alpha channel If you exporting to AE why not import the video directly into AE and use the Keylight plugin to do the keying.

Nov 13, 2018 · My .mov exports with Apple ProRes RGB+Alpha haven't been importing back into AE with an alpha channel. They work properly in Premiere and even PS, but they come into AE with a black bg. I've tried 'interpret footage' and toggled the different alpha options, none work.

Jan 06, 2017 · One of the best and most versatile codecs is GoPro Cineform (which is found under the QuickTime format). I’d highly suggest using GoPro Cineform RGB 12-bit with alpha at Maximum Bit Depth. Another great option is the always useful ProRes codec — be sure to select Apple ProRes 4444 for the alpha channel.
