I've got my EVA integrated using the EVA SMI-S provider and now I'm attempting to get my MSA 1000 to be managed. I've downloaded and installed the MSA SMI-S provider (v1.0) on the same server that is running the EVA SMI-S provider and CIMOM. Storage Essentials still picks up the EVA but does not recognize the host as an MSA CIMOM.

Re: MSA 1000 Linux Multipath Configuration HP does not support active/passive storage arrays with the device mapper. You need to use the Qlogic failover driver.

Re: msa-1000 acu So it's plain & simple - you can attach these 2 (or even more) HP-UX hosts, but then any host running different OS (like Win2k3) cannot be connected. Don't panic!

A minimum of one storage LUN on the MSA1000 must be configured and set to the HP-UX host mode before connecting the MSA1000 to the HP-UX server. Set the ratio of read cache to write cache to prioritize writing in RAID 1, RAID 1+0, RAID 5, and RAID ADG configurations to improve non-random write performance.

Aug 11, 2008 · The dual-controllers gives you the cross-over effect you want to have redundent pathing to all LUNs as defined on the ESX host. HP MSA 1000, 1500, etc. can do active/active, but VMware does not support this consistently, or at least when we setup our default configuration initially.
