Oct 15, 2015 · when you access twonky through the browser, and drill down to the file, if twonky can play the file on the pc, then it is streaming the file as a dlna client. if it can’t, then we know that there’s something wrong with either twonky not being able to play mkv files still, or there’s something wrong with the mkv file.

Oct 15, 2015 · The TwonkyMedia Server does not support MKV-streaming, you have to change a part in the clients.db file, that this will work, too. My problem is that i can’t change the clients.db file of the Server, which is on the NAS.

TheEdge October 15, 2015, 3:34am #6 My TV supports MKV-streaming and I can stream MKV-files perfectly from my laptop and my other NAS (QNAP with Twonky 6xx) so the TV is not the problem. I believe it is the old Twonky on MBL. I can play MKV-files on my laptop through file share but not if MBL is used as media server.

Mar 21, 2019 · What's the matter? Does DLNA support the MKV format? In fact, MKV is not one of the media options that are categorized because it's not a sanctioned format (not like WMV, MPEG, etc.). Besides, MKV is a container format, holding different types and unlimited number of video, audio, picture or subtitle tracks in one file.

Aug 16, 2019 · Twonky media server shows only few video files from folder, most of the files are there, but twonky does not recognize them at all. All video files are mp4 files and they are located on the same folder… I can play manually those files from PC, no problem at all. Most of the missing files are created by using HandBrake ( ISO ==> mp4 ).

I recently bought the wrt610n router which includes a media server. I bought a 2TB usb drive and hooked it up only to find out the media server doesn't support mkv files, which half of my media, especially hd media is in mkv format. So, does the NAS200 media server support mkv files?
