Jul 28, 2006 · Fortunately it does run on VMware. Cisco uses a hardened version of Fedora Core 4. I have installed the VM as "Other linux kernel 2.6". On VMware workstation 5.5 de VM's run perfectly. On VMware server beta 3 I experience maximum CPU loads. For example, if I execute a ping to an external system I see many DUP's and the CPU load goes to 100%.
