Apr 14, 2015 · Recently, i have been using Windows XP Professional SP3, and i realized that my on-board graphics card is old. So i decided to buy a new one and replace it. The problem is Windows XP only supports DirectX 9.0c, and i don't see much cards support this DirectX version. The most i see is DirectX 10 and 11 supported graphics card.

There are attempts at putting DirectX 10 on Windows XP, but those are for the sole purpose of allowing DirectX 10 exclusive games to 'run' on Windows XP, not for them to run good. A lot of DirectX 10's features are dependent upon Windows Vista's kernel and Display Driver Model, which means they won't work on XP.
