Jul 22, 2009 · Also for me it worked just by using the line (-Dorg.eclipse.ecf.provider.filetransfer.excludeContributors=org.eclipse.ecf.provider.filetransfer.httpclient) to the ini. Which was good because I really didn’t want to store my password in plain text in the ini file! Not recommended.

after I found and read [1] it seems to me you should specify -Dorg.eclipse.ecf.provider.filetransfer.excludeContributors=org.eclipse.ecf.provider.filetransfer.httpclient in order to disable the apache httpclient v3 support (which lacks NTLM proxy support) and fall back to the JRE HTTP provider instead.
