Nov 01, 2013 · Just because they are supported doesn't mean vaai is working, right? I have seen a little bit of documentation showing the use of VUM to install the vaai plugin, I just wasn't sure how this all works. I assume with all arrays, if they support vaai you have to install the plugin. This isn't something that is just storage array aware, is it?

May 11, 2012 · Regarding my specific issue (lack of official support for VAAI with EMC CX arrays and ESXi 5.0) I finally got one really detailed and helpful comment from an EMC representative: EMC tested the VAAI functionality of ESXi 5.0 with their EMC CX4 arrays (I specifically asked for the CX4).
