However, the weird thing here is that you describe your PATA drives being detected in enhanced mode as SATA devices - which they're not I wouldn't worry about the reported DMA mode if the drive performs the same in either mode.

After initial setup, Windows XP is missing many drivers, including network so I can't copy driver files to the VM. Is there a way to enable usb support or anything else that will allow me to copy files to it? Enhanced Session Mode is enabled.
