Apr 23, 2018 · In many years it will probably end up like "if you play at 144hz 4k you need more than 4 cores on cpu" and "if you play at 60hz 8k you don't benefit much from more than 4 cores on CPU" because games will be GPU-bound and refresh rate bound. Micro-stuttering requires better statistics for benchmark.

Which games support more than 4 cores? User Info: zergslayer69. zergslayer69 4 years ago #1. I've been a laptop guy for like the last 10 years and am finally getting around to building a beefy desktop but I'm deciding between a i7 quad and the i7 hexacore (forgot model number, but it's roughly $400ish). I know the hex core is lower clocked per ...

Jul 07, 2018 · I was doing some digging into the subject of multi-core support after realising how if I were to make large games or just games that have a lot of stuff going on at the screen at once everything would absolutely suck no matter how hard I tried to optimise things if it didn't take full advantage of every single CPU core available.

Never said their cores are equal. No doubt intel is more powerful per core. But you have to keep in mind an 8350 cost less than an unlocked i5, and yet looking at the link you gave me, you can see they are comparing it to the higher end i7, not an i5. No doubt the i7s are better than the 8350, but so is the AMD FX-9590.
