In OWS-5, the open source Geoserver and Galdos Systems’ commercial product Cartelinea implemented this functionality. I am trying to add ECW support into Geoserver 2.1.1 (also tried 1.7.7) but no luck so far. Does anyone have a step by step guide to add the ECW support ? (the one. In order to use this format in a meaningful way the GetMap must include a “&transparent=TRUE” parameter, as without it GeoServer generates opaque images with the default/requested background color, making this format always return JPEG images (or always PNG, if they are paletted).

Hey Matt - just to jump in on the Network KML support: this is massive for us - let's just say you're currently supporting our "Santa Tracker" mission right now and we've just started playing with Cesium for other mission sets. The most important data feed we push out lives on a Network KML.
