I've also read that, if imagemagick isn't compiled with ghostscript support, it can still make use of it at runtime as long as the gs program is in your path. Ghostscript didn't come with a binary file named "gs.exe" (which, i assume is what imagemagick will look for), so I made a copy of gswin32.exe and renamed it to gs.exe.
