Yes it does change the target bitrate but I don't see any other way how to do it. – mr.Shu Sep 15 '11 at 6:43 add a comment Got a question that you can’t ask on public Stack Overflow?

I used another ffserver.conf found here to make this work:. Port 8090 # bind to all IPs aliased or not BindAddress 0.0.0.0 # max number of simultaneous clients MaxClients 1000 # max bandwidth per-client (kb/s) MaxBandwidth 10000 # Suppress that if you want to launch ffserver as a daemon.

Plain and simple. The input avi is 15 fps. The default for output is to keep the fps. But MPEG1 does not support 15 fps. Not a question of implementation, simply of what the standard accepts. Try ffmpeg -i input.avi -vcodec mpeg1video -r 15 output.mpg

1.2 FFmpeg does not support codec XXX. Can you include a Windows DLL loader to support it? No. Windows DLLs are not portable, bloated and often slow. Moreover FFmpeg strives to support all codecs natively. A DLL loader is not conducive to that goal. 1.3 I cannot read this file although this format seems to be supported by ffmpeg.

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/30533154/create-a-slideshow-with-5-images-using-ffmpeg-with-an-output-rate-of-3-fps
I need to make a slideshow using ffmpeg of the following files: image-1.jpg image-2.jpg image-3.jpg image-4.jpg image-5.jpg. The input rate will be 1 fps (these are images so it's normal), but I would like the output rate to be 3 fps. Each image must last 1 minute for example. My aim is to have the smallest output file size for this slideshow.

If some input channel layout is not known, try to guess only if it corresponds to at most the specified number of channels. For example, 2 tells to ffmpeg to recognize 1 channel as mono and 2 channels as stereo but not 6 channels as 5.1. The default is to always try to guess.

I think i'm going to use mpeg2enc for mpeg from now on for mpeg1 and 2. I've tried a lot of things with ffmpeg but i never really got the mpeg either look good with vcd (it 'jitters' or flickers when bitrate is exhausted) and for dvd i can't get the bitrate as high as i want while there still artifacts.
