Sep 21, 2018 · GeorgePauley I'm pretty sure MPLAB X has never supported PICkit 2. You have to go (way) back to MPLAB IDE 8.92 to use PICkit 2. MPLAB X will supports PK3 and PK4. The PICkit2 seems to work with MPLABX 4.05 and a PIC16F690.

The MPLAB PICkit 4 In-Circuit Debugger/Programmer supports PIC, AVR and SAM MCUs and dsPIC DSCs, and firmware is continually being upgraded to add support for new devices. For the most current list of supported parts, review the latest release notes located in MPLAB X IDE. New product support is released via MPLAB X IDE.

PICkit™ 2 - Microchip Technology

MPLAB IDE v8.15 and later and the PICkit 2 Programmer applications support multiple PICkit 2 units on 1 PC. Simultaneously debug 2 microcontrollers with 2 PICkit 2 units using 2 instances of the MPLAB IDE on 1 PC. At the same time, use a 3rd PICkit 2 unit with the Logic Tool to capture I2C peripheral bus waveforms, and a 4th PICkit 2 unit with the UART Tool to log

PIC - [PIC] - PicKit2 device support - Nabble

    http://microcontrollers.2385.n7.nabble.com/PicKit2-device-support-td98821.html
Sep 04, 2012 · I have 8.73 installed; my PicKit 2 lists both versions of the '1825, but MPLAB IDE tells me the device is not supported by the PK2 and disconnects it.. Spent the morning digging in the 8.87 release notes (see below) trying to determine if <that> IDE supports the '1825 <AND> the PK2, with no luck. "Devices Supported.htm" seems to be the current disinformation.

Programmer To Go - Developer Help

    https://microchipdeveloper.com/pickit3:programmer-to-go
The PICkit 3 Programmer-To-Go functionality allows a PIC MCU memory image to be downloaded into the PICkit 3 for programming later into a specific PIC MCU. No software or PC is required to program devices once the PICkit 3 programmer is set up for Programming-To-Go. A USB power source for the PICkit 3 is all that is needed.
