Aug 16, 2008 · Following the advice of an Apple Support article, I tried resetting my SMC. Also did not work. On the menu, instead of being able to click on Video between Buddies and Format, my option now is Audio. In iChat Preferences, it says "This computer does not support video conferencing" when I click the Audio/Video tab. I am fresh out of ideas.

When I try to initiate a video chat from another computer, iChat says "xxx has invited you to a Video Chat, but your computer does not support video conferencing." Which is odd, since in Tiger, if the receiving computer didn't support video chat, it would default to a one-way video chat.

Jun 30, 2008 · I'm almost certain it's the router and or iChat being weird. When we both are using the same network iChat video works fine. When we are not on the same network, in the same house, is when he was issues. We are both using Gmail accounts in iChat. Like I said, we both turned off the routers firewall and leopards firewall and had no luck in iChat.
