Oct 02, 2018 · Melee druid w/o use of spells is a regular idea. As spells buff the druid and the animal companion. (And a good percentage of druid's strength comes from his spells) To be in melee it is problematic, as druid don't get as much armor class as other classes. (Warrior, cleric, etc). People use to agree that animal companion is better than the domain.
