The driver installed for this device is not compatible with Windo ws 7". advice on solving this problem appreciated. thanks

Feb 23, 2007 · Advisor points out that Vista has no drivers for Promise SATA378 controllers (Promise advises users that they do offer support for those chipsets). While I'm not pleased with MS vista (as my system is a 64 bit system), it's the MoBo mfr that has me greatly upset as they don't list a vista driver for the Promise controller.

Mar 28, 2007 · Hi all, I'm having a bit of trouble accessing my HDD on a SATA. Motherboard: Asus P4C800 Deluxe, 2 SATA HDD are connected & working, another WD HDD that's connected to an SATA port (Promise Fasttrak 378), not set to RAID but to IDE! The drivers that are installed come up as Fasttrak 1.00.1.33... & it seems to pick up the drive on system boot!
