I just want to confirm this... reiserfs has not been officially supported in RHEL3 anymore but by using the boot parameter "reiserfs", reiserfs support could be enabled (from the kernel-unsupported package), correct? What about RHEL4? Is there no reiserfs module available at all? Is there any way to at least temporarily enable reiserfs in RHEL4?

Jul 09, 2004 · Anyway one thing has always anoyed me about RedHat is the fact that they really don't seem too keen on reiserfs, at all. Redhat 8 and 9 all run with an old version Lilo which doesn't support reiserfs, Ok it's lilo, get over it and use GRUB, but personnally I like to have the option especially when it comes to something like booting.

Mar 27, 2006 · reiserfs support. recently installed VectorLinux on a reiserfs partition. But i am not able to mount this under RHEL. The kernel it seems is not compiled with reiserfs support. is there a solution without a kernel recompile? The previous post suggest a kernel recompile.
