Apr 10, 2015 · Since the raid driver is already in use on the server it shouldn't be an issue to convert to RAID 10, ie. Server 2008 won't complain about harware configurations. You should be able to use a bare metal software like ShadowProtect to image the server and then break the RAID 5 and rebuild to RAID 10 > then reimage the server and off you go.

As Jake says you select RAID 1+0 for RAID 10 on a Smart Array controller. There isn't actually an option for RAID 1, you have to select 1+0 for that as well even if you're only using two disks. Bear in mind that you can also migrate one of your current RAID 1s to RAID 10 by adding more disks to it assuming you have a cache battery.

Dec 10, 2013 · when I try to create new Raid volume on HP ProLiant DL 380 G6 server with Smart Array P410i it shows only Raid 1 and Raid 1+0 options for Raid volume. It shows same on ROM Bois and with HP Array Configuration Utility. I updated firmware with HPSUM. I have same server and I created Raid 5 but on this server I didn't get option to choose Raid 0 ...
