2009-9-7 · A developer build of Snow Leopard had NTFS read/write access out of the box. Not sure why Apple removed it. I always have problems when writing onto NTFS hard drives. As pointed out by Matt, installing Snow Leopard on the Late 2011 MacBook Pro is not officially supported by Apple, so there's no guarantee it will work.
