Nov 20, 2013 · We have recently upgraded to Backup Exec 2012 (from BE2010) and I have a question or two regarding backing up our virtual environment... We currently have one ESXi 5 server hosting 7 VM's and a VSphere management server where BE lives. Our procedure is a full backup daily going to disk then duplicating to tape once the job completes.

May 29, 2013 · Both of these parts are done in a single backup job. Now, I am not sure, if you are able to view GRT information on all jobs as BE 2012 as of now does not support VMWare 5.1 yet (Post applying the beta patch, it would). Now managing 100 VMs for backup every night must certainly be a big thing and would surely take over 7 or 8 hours.
