Nov 10, 2014 · The root of this is Windows XP x86 is MBR only meaning that the limitation is to do with MBR. Disks exceeding 2TB must use GPT which extends the limit significantly, however Windows XP does not have this support currently. A 32 bit version of windows generally will only see the protective MBR on a GPT disk.

Jan 08, 2011 · The 1TB offline is a SATA Raid and the 500GB is a Sata link. When I ran Windows 7 alone, and dual booted with Linux I have had no difficulties in mounting all drives. Now that I have set up the Dual Boot, Windows 7 recognises the 500GB as unallocated, but Windows XP SP3 can on see a GPT Protective Partition.

Edit - I just found the FAQ and it definitely does not support 4TB: "Physical disks larger than 2TB are not compatible with GPT Mounter (regardless of the size of the individual partitions).
