Oct 28, 2010 · I have resently bought a 1tB hard drive. The saleman told me I have to be ware that many 1tb hard drives do not work with Windows XP, and he helped me to pick one that works with XP. No surprise! it does not work. I have a Dell Dimension E521. The Bio recognized the hard drive as a 1Tb, but XP refused to show it..... Please help me.

Oct 03, 2010 · My main computer runs XP SP3. It used to run Windows 7, but recently I went back to XP. My laptop still runs Windows 7. The drive is a Hitachi SimpleTech 1TB USB hard drive formatted with a 1TB NTFS partition. It works on all of my Windows 7 and Linux machines without a problem.
