Aug 22, 2012 · I have 3 Xserve's happily running in an enterprise hosting environment and I thought as I was changing the duties of my 2008 Xserve that i'd upgrade to Mountain Lion while I had the chance.... I cannot believe Apple hasn't written at least some legacy support in for these Xserve's and Mac Pro's that don't run the 64bit EFI.

If your Mac can’t handle Mountain Lion but does support Lion, finding a legitimate copy of Lion could be a little tricky if you haven’t already purchased it.
