May 22, 2015 · Please post the commands you used to determine that wlan0 doesn't support scanning, along with any additional output those commands output. Also, please tell us what hardware you're using (is this an integrated network device, or a USB dongle, etc., what is the make and model?)

I'm trying to get wireless internet, an I got my card recognised with Linuxant.(Suse 9.3 Pro) However, when I do iwlist wlan0 scan, it says "The interface doesn't support scanning." Could it have anything to do with the fact that it's a G router, wich is a recent technology?

I have been trying to get Wi-Fi to work on Ubuntu 14.04 (I just don't and can't get ethernet) I have been trying too follow the guidline here: ubuntu 14.04 connect to a wifi network using command line but it wouldn't scan because it said "Interface doesn't support scanning".
