Jan 29, 2018 · 11.2.0.4 is currently on Extended Support. Normally this is an extra cost option. However, Oracle is currently giving everyone with a valid support contract free ES for 11.2.0.4 until Dec 2018. After that, you will have to pay for ES if you still want to be on 11.2.0.4.

With the upcoming on-premise release of Oracle Database 12.2.0.1, Oracle has updated the Critical Patch Update (CPU) security patch end dates for 11.2.0.4 and 12.1.0.2. Currently (as of January 2017), only 11.2.0.4 and 12.1.0.2 are supported for CPUs. The CPU end-dates, which correspond with the end of Extended Support, have been extended to October 2020 for 11.2.0.4 and July 2021 for 12.1.0.2.

Jun 26, 2013 · Oracle 11gR1 (11.1) was taken off Premier Support in August 2012. Hopefully you’ve moved on to 11.2 by now, it’s great and mostly stable. Oracle 11gR2 (11.2) will go off Premier Support on January 2015. That means you have 1.5 years to get acquainted with Oracle 12c, get to liking it, and most importantly get to trusting it.

There were a couple of very welcome bits of news from that, and the MOS note (Doc ID 742060.1) it points to.First, the extended support fee for 11.2.0.4 has been waived for another 18 months, taking it to the end of 2018 (start of 2019).
