In PHP the iconv extension does not have a function to list all available encodings.. The encodings which are available depends on which library iconv internally uses. For example there is libiconv.That website also contains a list of charsets you can use.

It claims that I have no "PHP ICONV Support" or that it "does not appear that ICONV extension is loaded". My server is running PHP version 4.4.3, and it's installed Perl Modules include "Text::Iconv". Any ideas what might be causing this error? If so, how might I fix it?

Sep 26, 2012 · After migration is done to Linux, iconv command is not working as expected. iconv is not converting the files into UTF-8. Not sure what needs to be done.
