Oct 04, 2017 · My new Lenovo laptop (P51) had a similar problem: when I ran the Mint installer, the "simple" partition tool (with the slider to determine how much space to allocate to Windows vs Linux) wanted me to install Mint on /dev/sda, except that this was the nearly empty secondary 1TB NTFS HDD.
